Welcome to The Mind of Mads

I didn’t create The Mind of Mads because I had everything figured out.

I created it because I didn’t.

For as long as I can remember, writing has been the way I process the things I don’t know how to say out loud. When something hurts, when something changes, when something quietly shifts inside me — I write. Stories have always felt like containers for moments that would otherwise disappear.

This space is my way of keeping them.

The Mind of Mads isn’t just a blog. It’s an archive of growth. A collection of questions. A place to explore the emotional in-between — the space between who we were and who we are becoming.

I’ve always been drawn to stories about transformation. Not the loud, dramatic kind. The quiet kind. The kind where someone survives something no one else saw. The kind where a person learns how to take up space after years of shrinking themselves. The kind where healing doesn’t look perfect, but it’s real.

Recently, I wrote a story called Wings of Fire. It’s about a boy who grows wings made of fire — wings no one else can see. At first, he thinks they’re a curse. But slowly, he realizes they came from everything he survived.

That story isn’t just fantasy.

It’s about what happens when we stop pretending we’re small.

It’s about the parts of ourselves that feel too intense, too emotional, too much — and learning that those very parts might be our strength.

That’s what this blog will hold.

Behind-the-story reflections. Pieces about writing. Fragments of fiction. Honest thoughts about becoming. Maybe even some uncertainty along the way.

This is a peek into my mind space.

Thank you for stepping inside.
